How to Deep Clean Vinyl Floors?

Every homeowner wants to keep their home clean and looks great all time. You guys will see that mostly our kitchen and bathroom got dirty, scratch, grout, and more. Generally, kitchen and bathroom flooring are familiar with the vinyl floor. So, if we don’t maintain well, they can get dirty first.

Things You Will Need:

  •      Need a vacuum cleaning machine to vacuum the loose dirt,
  •      Bucket for keeping the water,
  •      Fresh tap water,
  •      Household ammonia (1/2 cup),
  •      Sponge mop or can take rag mop for cleaning.

Cleaning Process:

  1. At first, need to sweep the kitchen or bathroom floor with a vacuum or broom for removing the loose dust, excess debris, and more if your vacuum has a hard floor setting and has a soft brush head, then it will be useful for removing the loose dirt.
  2. Now time to fill the bucket with fresh tap water. Add ½ cup of household ammonia in the water. If the water is lukewarm, then the result will better.
  3. Now use the mop or sponge. Pull the sponge into the cleaning solution. You can also use Vacuum Floor Cleaner.
  4. So, now use the mop into the floor like circular motions. Ensure the entire floor has applied with a cleaning solution. Scrub well with a sponge and clean the floor.
  5. Clean the floor with fresh water. Remove the soap or cleaning solution properly. Rinse the floor and dry thoroughly.

Tips: if your vinyl floor has a dark or tough sport or dirt, you can use the old toothbrush for scrubbing. Always the mop will not do the complete work for tough dirt at the vinyl floor. You can also use the bristle brush with the solution and scrubbing the floor until the dirt is not gone. 

Warning:

Keep mind, and the ammonia produces some of bad smell and smoke. So, when you scrub, you have to make the places well-ventilated. And most important, don’t forget to use hand gloves to prevent irritation or skin problem.
